Visual Designer: We’re seeking a creative and self-starting Visual Designer with new media experience to execute modern and crisp design solutions based on initial conceptual and visual direction. This position will be based in our New York City headquarters and work under the guidance of the VP of Design.
The Visual Designer will be responsible for creating visual assets and design concepts for large-scale websites, microsites, illustrations, logos, banner campaigns, ad hubs, presentations, event banners and style guides. Proficiency with Mac OS is a must, along with high level skills in Adobe CS6 programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and PowerPoint/Keynote.
Account Executive: We’re searching for a talented and resourceful account executive to join our New York sales team. The ideal candidate will have an active network of client/agency relationships and a proven track record of building and delivering solid marketing solutions in an effective and scalable way. This role is responsible for organizing, prioritizing and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. A minimum of 3 years of related work experience and a detailed knowledge of online media planning terms and KPIs are required.
Digital Sales Planner: We’re seeking a New York-based digital sales planner with a solid understanding of digital display media. The digital sales planner will coordinate all pre-sale collateral and transitioning responsibilities to the post-sale lead upon receiving an insertion order. This role reports to the Director of Sales Development and will work closely with Ad Operations to create strategic media plans to ensure successful delivery, optimal CTRs and sell-through rates. The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years’ experience in digital media or online planning/buying, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
International Sales Director: We’re looking for an International Sales Director based in London with an active network of client/agency relationships and a strong track record of building and delivering solid marketing solutions in an effective and scalable way. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of related work experience in the digital media industry and a keen ability to see opportunities, understand needs, create relevant solutions, set proper expectations and close meaningful deals, while possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Client Services Coordinator: We’re seeking a New York-based client services coordinator who has a solid understanding of digital display media. This individual will be responsible for coordinating all post-sale communications and deliverables between internal and external teams. He or she will also interface with multiple internal departments to coordinate custom campaign executions, input key billing requirements, communicate campaign results and troubleshoot. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years working at a top tier publisher/agency and a strong familiarity with rich media, tags and third party reporting. Proficiency in DFP, DSM, iDesk, Atlas, Mediavisor, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
Spring 2013 Internships
Mashable offers college upperclassmen and graduate students a unique opportunity to work at a growing, innovative digital media company. Interns are required to work between 18 and 40 hours each week and should be completing coursework in a relevant field of study. All Mashable internships are paid and work out of our New York City headquarters.
Sales Intern: Interns with our sales team work with and learn from Mashable staff. Responsibilities include lead generation, research, analytics, relationship management and collateral development.
Communications Intern: This position will provide day-to-day support to the communications team by creating and managing media lists, assisting with special events, and tracking brand mentions and coverage.
Graphic Design Intern: Graphic Design Intern responsibilities may include creating visual assets for infographics, large-scale websites and mobile devices, as well as assisting with the creating of illustrations, logos, banner campaigns, ad sales and presentation materials.
Editorial Photo Intern: Responsibilities include taking event and product photos, building galleries, choosing and making appropriate art for stories, and more.
