Girl Owns Students Who Accuse Sorority Sister Of Racist Costume (Video)

When is a sorority mariachi band costume not offensive? When it’s worn by an actual member of a mariachi band, of course.

After seeing a University of Arizona Tri Delta sorority member dressed in a mariachi costume, members of the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicana/o de Aztlan (MEChA) visited the house to educate the women there about racism.

Unfortunately for MEChA, the point falls a bit flat when the sister at the door explains the student in question is both Latina and part of a mariachi band in real life. Awkward.

The well-spoken sister goes on to explain that Tri Delta respects all cultural backgrounds and encourages its members to embrace their diversity.
