The photos that would be on Disney characters’ IDs if they were ordinary people in real life

By

A couple years ago, graphic designer Karen Graw wondered what Disney characters would look like if they were just normal people. And thus began a fun side project…

Graw collected reference photos and then created composite images of imaginary but photo-realistic human faces that resembled Disney characters as closely as possible. At the end, Graw had over 30 pictures that could be used on the Disney characters’ IDs if they weren’t fictional.

To critics of her work, Graw explains,

If some don’t look exactly like the characters, well cut me some slack, there’s not a lot of people out there that look like some of the more ridiculously proportioned Disney characters (Hercules, Cruella, villains etc).

Here are the pics. See how many you recognize and then check your work against the key below…

Disney Characters in Real Life

Row 1: Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Mother Gothel, Tiana, Charlotte LaBouff, Esmeralda, Frollo, Quasimodo

Row 2: Giselle, Jane, Tarzan, Cinderella, Belle, Prince Adam (The Beast), Gaston, Jafar

Row 3: Mulan, Alice, Jasmine, Aladdin, Aurora, Prince Philip, Maleficent, Cruella De Vil

Row 4: Meg, Hercules, Pocahontas, Snow White, the Evil Queen, Ariel, Prince Eric, Ursula

And here are just a couple side-by-side comparisons…
