This Kitten Was Set on Fire and Somehow Survived
Hope was found in Detroit, badly burned and totally emaciated. An old woman brought in the 7 month old kitten into an emergency vet clinic when none of her at-home care was helping. As soon as the vet touched her, even though she was covered in burns, Hope began to purr and knead. It looked like she was dying, her spirit was still strong.
Hope was brought in when her original rescuer couldn’t help her get better.
Even though she was in terrible condition, she had a kind heart.
Judging by the kitten’s injuries, she was set on fire.
The burns were severe, she couldn’t have healed on her own. But Hope’s spirit never faltered.
She had an invincible attitude. It saved her life.
Hope survived surgery that lasted three hours. She has been recovering and resisted infection for three whole days and her rescuers think she is going to pull through.
The vets set up a donation page for Hope’s medical expenses, and as of Friday afternoon, have raised nearly all of their $8,000 goal on the FundRazr site.
